PI.EXCHANGE making accessible
AI for everyone
Starting at PI.EXCHANGE, one of my first responsibilities and goals was to design the registration flow for new users. This was important as at the time, enquiries were being handled by a sole BDM who was responsible for setting up new user accounts manually and onboarding clients personally.

This project took place shortly before the entire website redesign, and necessitated a counter-brief with the data-science and engineering teams to understand the limits of where the application started and ended in relation to the website. There was some back and forth on how best to integrate account creation with the various encryption and data-security protocols, and the decision was made to have the log-in and sign-up CTA's link directly to the application portal.
I worked up over several iterations the proposed user flow and wireframe details, discussing in user-interviews and looked at how various companies structured their own sign-up/sign-up user flows which gave me excellent insight into best practices for PI.EXCHANGE.
The UX Approach & User Flow
After meeting with the marketing and engineering teams, it became clear that there would be a couple of pathways to registration. The decision was made to migrate users from the web environment to the application environment.

Building the registration flow from scratch was deceptively complex, as I needed to consider all pathways that hadn't been previously considered from engineering, including but not limited to password resets, Google OAuth logins (among others - future OAuth logins are planned!) and whether or not to allow users to change their trial-plan along the registration flow.

After sketching out a number of UX flows, I rigged up a prototype with an XD link to give to prospective users for feedback, and was able to integrate that feedback. It included some key points that were extremely valuable, such as the ability to include a mobile registration flow, and to include a stepper at the top of the screen to give users an indication of their progress through registration.
