The pathway to medical school with MedView Education
Medview Education exists to demystify the process of applying to medical school, and help students gain acceptance to top-tier medical degrees. With complex requirements across countries and differing types of entrance exams and degrees, Medview is a source of accessible information, and of resources and tutoring to help the process of gaining acceptance to medical school.
The previous website for Medview wasn't serving students, parents or teachers particularly well - while it had a great deal of resources and information, it was dense, and confusing for people unfamiliar with the subject matter to access. Additionally, there was a lack of clarity around the services Medview offered, and how they helped students gain access to medical school, beyond "tutoring."
The idea became that curriculums would automatically be displayed for the region the IP address was located in, and each type of exam or service would have a single sentence explainer as a hover state. This system has since been adopted and implemented across other pages of the parent company, Crimson Education.
Additionally, a top tab-based navigation system was designed to "chunk" the information into sections, helping users more clearly navigate to the information that they needed.
The Approach
Additionally, a card-based system with tool-tips and simple, clear copy became the best way to help users view and compare the different services - a colour coded pip system was used to help signpost whether services were offered online or in-person.
